So I recognize that it’s been practically forever since I last put anything on here… A lot has changed since Dec. I’m still workin’ a job that I don’t have much interest in, but I enjoy the people I work with. I’ve had a good many a conversations with some of them over the past few months. I’ve learned how to get over things, and totaled my Passport (RIP poor Honda…) and met a new person that completely rocks my socks off. I also in light of my Passport being denied have had the pleasure of buyin’ my first car.

All of this however pails in comparison to the excitement building within the upcomin’ launch of North Bridge Church. It’s been stressful and at times discouraging, but the fact remains that God is so much bigger than we let him be at times. I believe that God has great things in store for NBC (lol). So many things have just happened that weren’t expected that can only be explained by God. He has his hands in what’s goin’ on here in Chattanooga.

I’m excited to see what’s gonna happen next week at our preview service. A lot of time and effort are being put into this upcoming service! Not to mention I’m ready to rock out the first song on our set list… I shall give a pre-thanks to Lee Mcderment for writin’ an amazin’ song! Hope I sing it well for ya lol.

Anywho…that’s the skinny on the last few months since the last post…I’m gonna try to be a lil’ more faithful with this…not promisin’…but i’ll try…

so needless to say….i’m not goin’ back there without ppl… and ok…by lake…i believe i mean TN river….

so…not much new has been goin’ on here lately. Still working a good bit and hoping for better oppourtunities with work. I’d love to find some ave. to keep workin with teens…maybe as an ISS teacher. Really though I’d be cool with anyjob that has steady hours and leaves my evenings open. Things with the church are goin’ well. Just bought three big coffee urns to help us make hot chocolate and coffee to give out for free on black friday. We figured that’d be a good way to serve our community and get the word out about da church. We’re really tryin’ to be intentional about gettin’ out and serving the community. Well…that’s about it for now…I’m actually working in the morning for the first time in a while, so i’m gonna finish washin’ the clothes and get to bed…

1 Thessalonians 2:8 (New Living Translation)

8 We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.

I read this verse the other day right before goin’ into work. I read it quickly so I could say that I read a lil’ bit before work in attempt to try to jump start my readin’ again. I must confess…I haven’t been readin’ as much as I feel I should be. Anyways…..This verse, even while so briefly read, just stuck with me the rest of the day. I didn’t get to read much more that day. Fri after work, I opted to let everyone else go and do their own thing and just sat outside the apt in the quiet played my guitar and began to read some more. Verse 8 (written above) just kept jumpin out at me… It’s not good enough for us to just tell people about the Gospel and the Love of God and His Son. We have to be willin’ to show them what it means to live out what we’re telling them, and let them see how good God truly is through us and in us. We have to be willing to share our lives with those we come into contact with. We have to be intentional and relational with everything done for a purpose.

So I’ve been really stoked about gettin’ to meet some new folks in the Noog. Gettin connected with some of the good folks from TN Temp. It’s a breath of fresh air… I finally got on the sched for work, so i won’t be sittin’ around aanymore wonderin’ what my days are gonna be filled with or the lack there of. All in all….things are good. I’m goin’ to Nashville Sunday with Josh to help out and do a lil’ music at the church he’ll be speaking at. Then SUNDAY NIGHT we’re gonna meet in the park and just talk to people and throw a football around or a Frisbee and just hang out with Chattanooga.

So I’ve been in the apt a good bit so far this week. Been spending my time trying to learn photo-shop to make postcards, flyers, and banners and such for the NSP. Hopefully I may have found someone who knows a lil’ more about this stuff that would be to help out! Tonight…well i guess last night now, the guys and I went out to Coolidge to shoot some footage for a video. We ended up meeting some cool folks from Tn Temp. Spent some time with them sharing our vision for the Northshore Project and listening to some quality Karaoke! Here’s to you new friends!

After that Joey and I went to buffalo wild wings and hung out for a bit. I spent my time workin’ on a flyer for the Northshore Project…Here’s what I’ve got so far:
